Inauguration of Animal Protection Chariot to Serve Roadside Animals and Birds in Jamshedpur

Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surabhi branch inaugurates a seven-day Animal Protection Chariot to serve animals and birds on the city’s roads.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a noble effort towards animal welfare, the Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surabhi branch in Jamshedpur has inaugurated a seven-day Animal Protection Service Chariot.

This initiative, aimed at serving animals and birds roaming on the city streets, was launched on Saturday from the Mahalakshmi Dadi Temple located on Sakchi Thakurbari Road.

This service chariot, dedicated to the memory of the late Ashok Agarwal and sponsored by his brother Santosh Agarwal and his family, is set to deliver food and water to different animals and birds across the city.

Provision for bread, green vegetables, and water have been made for all animals, including cows.

While the chariot service is currently planned for seven days, the organizers expressed the possibility of extending it further with the help of community contributions.

Given the intense summer heat, these services are crucial for the wellbeing of the city’s animal population, and similar initiatives will be organized periodically.

In conjunction with this initiative, the East Singhbhum District Marwari Conference and Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surabhi branch also conducted a signature campaign against the practice of pre-wedding shoot outs at marriage ceremony venues, with members present lending their support by signing the petition.

Notable social workers including Santosh Agarwal, Omprakash Ringsia, Subhash Shah, Mahavir Modi, and others attended the inaugural event.

Jeev Saranshan or animal protection is a sacred concept that is uniquely found and is intricately in-built in Hindu traditions, dharma and panth and there is hardly any comparable concept found in any other religion outside Hindu fold.
